
Let’s talk about the 230V 1500W Carbon Fiber Quartz Tube
If you need heat—and you need it now—these tubes are your best bet. We built them for those high-intensity infrared jobs where waiting for a heater to warm up just isn’t an option. Instead of the usual metal coils, we used a carbon fiber filament tucked inside a high-purity quartz sleeve. The Power Side of Things Running at 230V with a 1500W output gives you a serious punch of heat. The best part? You can plug these straight into most industrial grids. You won’t have to mess around with those bulky, expensive step-up transformers. Because it’s carbon fiber, the heat kicks in almost instantly. It’s way faster than your typical ceramic heaters. You flip the switch, and you’re ready to go. Why Quartz and Carbon? The quartz tube does more than just look clean. It keeps the carbon filament from burning up (oxidation) while letting the infrared waves fly right through. And here’s a pro tip: carbon fiber handles the “stretch and shrink” of heating and cooling much better than tungsten. It doesn’t snap or warp nearly as easily when you’re cycling the power on and off all day. But, a word of caution. Quartz is glass, which means it’s brittle. If your machine vibrates a lot, please use dampened mounts. Otherwise, you’re just asking for a crack. Putting Them to Work These are great for dropping into PET blowing setups, drying lines, or curing ovens. That 1500W output is exactly what you need to get heat deep into polymers or coatings quickly. Just keep an eye on your setup. Since these get hot fast, your housing needs plenty of airflow. If your reflectors are crooked or your vents are blocked, you might end up overheating your entire chassis. Also, double-check your controllers. Each lamp draws about 6.5A. Make sure your relays can handle that load, or you’ll be replacing them sooner than you’d like.
