Far Infrared Quartz Tube Heaters: The Secret to Fast, Flawless Paint Drying
We built these heating lamps for one reason and one reason only: to dry paint fast—without ever scorching it. The magic happens inside a far-infrared quartz tube, paired with a carbon fiber heating element. Together, they push heat deep and evenly into the coating, curing it from the inside out. No more waiting around. No more worrying about a ruined finish.
What Makes Them Tick
It all comes down to power, and you get to call the shots. You choose the wattage and voltage that fit your setup—usually 230V or 400V—and we match the tube length to your curing space. For example, a 300mm tube can run at 2500W, packing serious heat into a small footprint. That kind of power density is what slashes curing time. But it does mean you need a circuit that can handle the load and proper cooling in the enclosure to keep things from getting too hot under the collar.
The Materials That Matter
The quartz tube isn’t just a shell. It’s the heart of the system, transmitting far-infrared energy. Quartz handles extreme heat and shrugs off thermal shock, so it’s fine with rapid on/off cycles. Inside, the carbon fiber heater fires up quickly and spreads heat evenly, so you don’t get those hot spots that can wreck a finish. We also connect these tubes with R7s or Sk15 connectors. They’re industrial-grade, built for serious current and a solid grip. They make the lamp a simple drop-in replacement, and the connection stays rock solid, even when things are shaking and vibrating.
What It Feels Like on the Shop Floor
When you’re drying paint, far-infrared targets the coating directly. It speeds up solvent evaporation without blasting the surface with scorching heat. The payoff? Curing happens faster, you use less energy than you would with a convection oven, and the finish comes out consistent every time. But with that kind of power, you need control. That means pairing the lamp with an industrial PID controller to keep the temperature steady and protect the element. When it’s dialed in, you get more space on the floor, faster throughput, and a curing process you can actually rely on—day in, day out.
