When you need a huge heating area but still want that punchy, dense heat, this 1260mm, 220V, 3500W setup is your best bet. The power side of things At 3500W stretched over 1260mm, the heat is steady all the way across. We stuck with a 220V rating so it doesn’t blow your industrial controllers. You can plug this straight into most oven arrays. Just a heads-up: make sure your contactors can handle that initial startup surge. Also, keep an eye on your power supply. If the voltage jumps around too much, you’re going to kill your filaments a lot faster than you’d like. Why carbon and quartz? Inside, we’ve got a carbon heating element wrapped in high-purity quartz. Here’s the trick: carbon doesn’t get as hot as tungsten, but it pushes out way more infrared energy in the medium-to-long wave range. In plain English? The heat actually sinks deep into your product instead of just searing the top layer. We use quartz for the glass because it lets that IR radiation fly right through without blocking it, and it can handle the stress of being turned on and off all day. Getting it installed (and a few warnings) This is pretty much a drop-in replacement for most big drying or curing tunnels. But since it’s over a meter long, it’s a bit fragile. It can bend or snap if the machine vibrates too much. I really recommend using spring-loaded mounts. It gives the glass some breathing room to expand and contract without cracking. And one more thing. 3500W puts off alotof heat. If your oven housing isn’t vented properly, you’ll end up melting your wiring looms. Double-check your cooling fans to make sure they can keep up with the load.
