Carbon Fiber Heat Lamps: Built for Your Format Printing Machine
We built these carbon fiber heat lamps for one reason: they work. They were born for format printing machines, delivering a focused blast of infrared energy that sets inks, dries coatings, and cures laminates—even across wide-format jobs. The whole point? Heat up fast, run steady, and fit neatly into your dryer section. No fuss, no over-engineering. Just reliable performance.
Power, Voltage, and Size—Straight to the Point
These lamps are typically rated at400V and 2500W, with a300mm tube length. That 400V rating means you can run the lamp at higher power without overloading your wiring and sockets. The 2500W output packs serious heat density into a short distance, so your line speed can climb. And the 300mm length? It stays compact enough to slip into tight dryer hoods, while still covering a meaningful slice of the print path. It’s fast, too. Full output in seconds—so when the press starts, you’re already there. No waiting around.
The Build: Halogen, Quartz, and a R7s Connection
Inside, it’s a halogen-filled quartz tube with a carbon filament. The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable and helps prevent blackening over time, so the output stays consistent. The quartz envelope handles high heat and sudden temperature swings without blinking. We also offer an optional IR-reflective coating. It pushes more energy back onto the substrate, instead of letting it go to waste. For termination, we useR7s connectors. They give you a secure, high-temperature connection that’s simple to wire and easy to swap out when it’s time for a replacement.
What It Feels Like on the Floor
In format printing, you need heat that hits hard and stays steady. These lamps do exactly that. You get faster drying and better control over the cure, which means less guesswork and more confidence. And because they’re engineered as a drop-in replacement, you can swap them in without redesigning the dryer section. Just swap and go. But here’s the practical part: high power density means you need proper cooling and airflow around the lamp and socket. If your machine runs hard, make sure the cooling and thermal shielding are sized to match that 2500W heat load. Plan for it, and you’ll be set.
