The quartz envelope is there for a simple reason: it lets infrared through cleanly and stays solid when things get scorching. And the R7s double-ended connector? Practical, all the way. It gives you solid contact, makes alignment easier, and means this lamp drops right in when you’re swapping out an old unit.

Where It Shines

In the field, this setup shines when you need serious heat density in a tight footprint—think plastic welding, coating curing, and drying parts. The medium- to long-wave output spreads heat evenly across the target, so you don’t scorch the surface. That means fewer scrapped pieces and less rework. Now, there is a trade-off. When you cram this much heat into a short body, the surrounding gear runs hotter. So you have to plan for that—give it proper clearance and cooling. But get the fixture sized right, and you’re rewarded with heating you can count on, wired up quickly, and running with almost no fuss.
